Born on March 1, 1950, Troy lived a life defined by service and love for his family. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy during the Vietnam Era before a long and honorable career in law enforcement.
While Troy took great pride in his career, his greatest accomplishment was the family he loved so dearly. He was a devoted husband to his wife, Linda, and a loving father to his son Ryan Kitts and his wife Brittney, his step-daughter, Dawn and husband, Jason. He was a proud Papaw to Kayli, Bryli, Grier and Ryley.
He is also survived by his brother Michael Kitts and his wife Terri.
Troy enjoyed spending time outdoors, especially fishing, golfing and working in the yard. Though our hearts are broken, we find comfort in the many memories he leaves behind.
The family wishes to express their sincere gratitude to special friends, Keith and Gloria Johnston, Gladys and Susie, from Seniors Helping Seniors, and the amazing staff and nurses of Gentevia Hospice and Adoration Home Health.
We will honor Troy’s wishes with a small, private burial service at Mountain Home Cemetery in Johnson City, TN.
East Lawn Funeral Home is honored to serve the family of Mr. Kitts.
