She was born to the late Frank W. and Lula Ford Gragg. After high school, Trula earned her nursing degree and was a registered nurse for several years until she decided to become a stay-at-home mother, a career that was the greatest joy in her life and would leave an enduring legacy. She never lost her nurse’s heart, though, and would often volunteer at nursing homes or anywhere else a kind heart and caring touch were needed. Trula cherished her husband, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Above all, Trula loved Jesus and was a faithful member of Bethel United Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, Trula is preceded in death by 5 sisters.
Survivors include her loving and devoted husband of 53 years, George Allen Hilton; one daughter, Jennifer (Scott) Baird); four sons, Brian (Kathy) Hilton, Kristopher (Malenia) Hilton, Keith (Sabrina) Hilton, and Kevin (Emmaline) Hilton; grandchildren, Morgan (Tyler) McClain, Millie Hilton, and Jude Hilton; great-grandchild, Bailey McClain. Trula is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and her church family.
The family would like to extend heartfelt appreciation to Gentiva Hospice for their loving care during Trula's illness.
