Bro. Bill Hammond...a christian gentleman who displayed a Godly life, a positive spirit despite his handicap...a great role model.
I shall remember Mr. Bill, dressed in his Korean War, U.S. Navy uniform proudly participating in Memorial Day recognition at Higher Ground Baptist Church.
A patriot, known for Christian virtues...integrity, honesty, sincerity...a blessing to all who knew him for his courage, determination and encouraging spirit...a friend.

We extend our deepest love and sympathy to the family in the loss of a wonderful man. I remember a visit to their home when I was young and all of his cars. He and Jo Ann came to Watseka to help celebrate my Dad's 80th birthday. They brought him a rock from Cripple Creek where my Dad used to swim. After my parents passed, I kept that rock and it is displayed in my keepsake cabinet.
Please remember that those we love will forever live in our hearts.
God's blessings and comfort to all of you.

We delivered meals to your mom and dad. It was truly a pleasure every time I was able to hand him the meals as he always had a smile and ask how I was doing. He was a Precious fella. We are so sorry for your loss. May God comfort and bless each of you.

Family Members,
So sorry to hear of Bill’s passing. He was a true gentleman and Ruth and I loved visiting with him. We loved to hear his stories about when he was in the Navy as much as he loved telling them. He always had a big smile when we stopped by. We surely will miss him. I know he was greatly loved. May God comfort you and give you peace during this difficult time.
Our love and prayers,
