William Bill Howard Jennings

William Howard “Bill” Jennings, age 76, entered into rest September 13, 2011 at Brookhaven Manor. Born in Kingsport, TN., a son of the late Granville Howard Jennings and Vivian Jones Jennings, he resided in this area most of his life. Bill retired after 25 years of service with AFG, he also served in the U.S. Navy as a Gunners Mate. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two brothers, Jim and Tom Jennings. Survivors include his wife of 37 years, Sandy Jennings, two sons, William Howard Jennings, Jr. Robbie Jennings, one daughter, Kathy Wright, three step-sons, Jerry Parrish and wife Kelli, Thomas Parrish and wife Kim, Robert Parrish, one brother, John Jennings and wife Margie, three sisters, Phyllis Wilcox, Betty Sturgill and husband Dean , Joann Hill and husband James , seven grandchildren, two great grandchildren.

A celebration of life memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 17th at Mercy Seat Ministries, 376 Bob Jobe Road, Kingsport, Tn. 37663. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be his grandsons, Andrew and Jonathan Parrish. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Sandy Jennings 365 Rodefer Hollow Rd., Blountville, Tn. 37617.
