William Edward Wininger, age 83 of Kingsport, TN, entered into eternity on Friday, May 17, 2019. William was born on February 3, 1936 in Lee County, VA to the late Tom Wininger and the late Pauline Pennington Wininger.
William enjoyed reading and going to the dog and horse races. He found solace in listening to music from the late 40’s and early 50’s. He bravely served his country by serving in the U.S. Army and the U.S. Air Force; and he worked as an Avionics Technician for the United States government.
William was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Dale Wininger and Mike Wininger; three sisters, Paula Flo Goodwin, Judy Wininger, and Barbara Kelley. He is survived by three brothers, Jim Wininger, Pearcy Wininger, and David Wininger; five sisters, Tommy Jo Ferrier, Kaye Delfino, Carol Byall, Teri Ryan, and Linda Cox; and a host of loving nieces and nephews.
There will be a graveside service for William on Thursday, June 13th, 2019 at 1:00 pm at East Lawn Memorial Park in Christus Garden with Brother David Dotson officiating. Full military honors will be conducted by American Legion Post 3/265.
