Alberto Ortiz Jr.

Alberto Ortiz, Jr., of Kingsville, Texas, passed away on Saturday, February 23, 2013, at the age of 61. After a lengthy illness, Alberto peacefully left this life with his family by his side. He was born on May 11, 1951, in Guanica, Puerto Rico, to Albert and Marie Ortiz, Sr. Alberto was a United Sates Navy Veteran, serving eight years. He retired from the Army Depot after twenty- one years of service.

Alberto was preceded in death by his mother, Marie Rios Ortiz. He will always be loved and remembered by his daughter, Nichole Garcia of Corpus Christi, Texas; two grandchildren; father, Alberto Ortiz, Sr. of New York City, New York; brothers, Michael Ortiz of New York City and George Ortiz of California; and sister, Diana Ortiz of New York City.

Visitation will be held Friday, April 5, 2013, from 9:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. at Turcotte-Piper Mortuary Chapel, Kingsville. Funeral Service will be held on Friday, April 5, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. at Turcotte-Piper Mortuary. Graveside Service will be Friday, April 5, 2013, at 2:00 p.m. at Coastal Bend State Veterans Cemetery, Corpus Christi, Texas, with Pastor Torrez officiating.
