

Ara Callie Boggan, age 97, a resident of Riviera, Texas passed away Friday, June 4, 2010 at her residence. She was born on February 8, 1913 in Stockdale, Texas to Charles Thomas Burris and Emma Wiley Burris. Mrs. Boggan had lived in the Riviera area since 1943. She was a homemaker engaged in farming for the past 67 years. She was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, Sarita, Texas.
Mrs. Boggan was preceded in death in 1985 by her beloved husband, William Dale Boggan; parents; and six brothers and sisters.
She is survived by one daughter, Yvonne (Lee) Durbin of Riviera; four granddaughters, Yvette (John) LaVine, Pattie Durbin, Cindy Durbin and Kathie (Zeid) ElZereini; one grandson, Ricky (Cindy) Silguero; eight great-grandchildren, Nicholas LaVine, Leslie LaVine, Cliff (Dionne) Knapp, Marlee Luikens, Allyss Luikens, Cullen Luikens, Amani ElZereini and Thaer ElZereini; two great-great-grandchildren, Kason Knapp and Boston Knapp; and nieces and nephews.
Visitation will take place from 4:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. on Monday, June 7, 2010 at the Turcotte-Piper Mortuary Chapel with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. that evening. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, June 8, 2010 at Our Lady of Consolation Catholic Church, Vattmann, Texas with Fr. Jim Foelker, O.M. I., as celebrant. Burial will follow in Kingsville at Chamberlain Cemetery. A reception will follow at the Knights of Columbus Hall on General Cavazos Blvd., Kingsville.
Active pallbearers will be Victor Kuntscher, Ricky Silguero, Allan Cumberland and Scott McGuire.
