

Before Baldemar's illness he worked as an industrial painter and sandblaster in the refineries. He was also a self-employed painter who took great pride in his work.
Baldemar loved God with everything in him and was a member of Grace Community Church, at which his son-in-law Julian Rangel serves as pastor. Baldemar was a loving man who did anything possible to help anyone in need. He also enjoyed taking his family on trips and spending time with them whenever possible. He was preceded in death by his mother, Rita Gonzalez; and his brothers, Leopoldo Gonzalez Jr. and Juan Gonzalez.
He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Yolanda Gonzalez; their daughters, Inette Michelle (LeeRoy) Sauceda, Anette Yvonne (Julian) Rangel and Yvette Marie Gonzalez (John Hinojosa); He also has 6 loving grandchildren whom he loved with all his heart, Lynette, Laurie, Samantha, Hannah, Daniel, and John Anthony; father, Leopoldo Gonzalez; sisters, Sylvia Bueno and Elia Olivarez; and brother Raul Gonzalez. He also has numerous nieces, nephews, and many friends who cared deeply about him and whom he loved with all his heart.
Pallbearers will be Arnold Sanchez, LeeRoy Sauceda, John Hinojosa, Ruben Ramos, Manuel Campos and Abel Montoya.
Visitation will be held from 1 to 9 p.m. Sunday, February 20, 2011, with a prayer service at 7 p.m. with Pastor Julian Rangel officiating. Funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, February 21, 2011, at Turcotte- Piper Mortuary. Burial will follow at Chamberlain Cemetery.
