Celia S. Romero

Celia S. Romero, age 87, a resident of Bishop, Texas passed away Tuesday, November 13, 2012 in Corpus Christi, Texas. She was born November 4, 1925 in Mercedes, Texas to Benancio Suarez and Isidra Galvez Suarez. Mrs. Romero, a homemaker, was a member of St. Gertrude’s Catholic Church. Mrs. Romero was preceded in death by her loving husband of 43 years, Marcario Romero; parents; sister, Manuela S. Banda; and brother, Lorenzo Suarez. She is survived by five daughters, Beatrice G. Romero of San Antonio, Texas, Belia Loya of Pearland, Texas, Stella Crafts of McAllen, Texas, Anna Maria Romero of Bishop and Gloria R. Flores of McAllen; five sons, Edward G. Romero of Corpus Christi, Paul G. Romero of Mesa, Arizona, Carlos G. Romero of San Antonio, Texas, Beto S. Romero of Corpus Christi and Ruben S. Romero of Rio Grande, Texas; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and special niece and nephew, Lupita Banda and Frank Banda. Visitation will take place Thursday, November 15, 2012 from 2:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at the Turcotte-Piper Mortuary Chapel. Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. Thursday, November 15, 2012 at the Turcotte-Piper Mortuary Chapel. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Friday, November 16, 2012 at St. Gertrude’s Catholic Church, Kingsville. Burial will follow in Bishop at St. James Catholic Cemetery, Bishop, Texas. She was a loving mother and grandmother who loved the Lord and will be dearly missed. Services are entrusted to Turcotte-Piper Mortuary, 205 General Cavazos Blvd., Kingsville, Texas.
