Cipriano "Cippy" Escobedo Jr.

Cipriano “Cippy” Escobedo Jr., age 59, a resident of Kingsville, Texas passed away Tuesday, March 5, 2013 in Corpus Christi, Texas. He was born December 27, 1953 in Kingsville to Cipriano “Piano” Escobedo Sr. and Petra “Pita” S. Escobedo. Cippy was employed at the King Ranch in the feedlot department and later employed for the Sheldon Ranches. He worked for the Kingsville Wal-Mart until his retirement.

Cippy is survived by his parents, Cipriano “Piano” Escobedo Sr. and Petra “Pita” S. Escobedo of Kingsville; sister, Elma Zamora (Gabriel) of Kingsville; two brothers, Eusebio Escobedo (Veronica) of Kingsville and Carlos H. Escobedo (Norma) of Kerrville, Texas; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will take place after 4:00 p.m. Thursday, March 7, 2013 at the Turcotte-Piper Mortuary Chapel. Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. Thursday, March 7, 2013 at the Turcotte-Piper Mortuary Chapel. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 9:30 a.m. Friday, March 8, 2013 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church with Fr. Romeo Salinas as celebrant. Burial will follow in Kingsville at Chamberlain Cemetery.
