Dominga Jimenez

Dominga “Minga” Jimenez, age 88, a longtime resident of Riviera, Texas passed away on Wednesday, February 8, 2012 in Kingsville, Texas. She was born on February 3, 1924, to Eusebio Guajardo and Virginia Sanchez in Riviera, Texas. She retired from Santa Rosa Viejo Ranch as a housekeeper. She was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Riviera, Texas.

She was preceded in death by her parents and two sons, Concepcion “Chon” Gaitan, Jose Jimenez and grandson, David Mendez, Jr.

She is survived by her loving husband of 60 years Antonio Jimenez of Riviera, Texas; two daughters, Dora Gaitan of Riviera, Texas and Lupita (David) Mendez of Ricardo, Texas; two sons, Hector (Hela) Gaitan of Falfurrias, Texas and Carlos (Monga) Jimenez of Riviera, Texas, 11 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held from 3:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 9th, 2012 at Turcotte-Piper Mortuary Chapel with a Rosary at 7:30 p.m.

Funeral service will be Friday, February 10th, 2012 at 3:30 p.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Riviera, Texas. Burial will follow at the Riviera Cemetery in Riviera, Texas.

Services are entrusted to Turcotte-Piper Mortuary, 205 General Cavazos Blvd., Kingsville, Texas.
