Gwen Gardner

Gwen Gardner, age 98, a resident of Kingsville, Texas passed away Tuesday, February 12, 2013 in Corpus Christi, Texas. She was born February 19, 1914 in Paragould, Arkansas to Allen Curry and Nellie Lynch Curry. Mrs. Gardner, a homemaker, was a faithful member of University Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Nellie Rosetta Malone; parents; and brother, Verdane Curry.

Mrs. Gardner is survived by her husband of 62 years, Arnold “Chick” Gardner of Kingsville; one daughter, Sarita Bennett of Corpus Christi, Texas; one brother, Donald Curry of Searcy, Arkansas; four grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and 13 great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation will take place Friday, February 15, 2013 from 2:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. at the Turcotte-Piper Mortuary Chapel. Funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Friday, February 15, 2013 at the Turcotte-Piper Mortuary Chapel with Rev. Jerry Tanner officiating. Burial will follow in Kingsville at Chamberlain Cemetery.

Services are entrusted to Turcotte-Piper Mortuary, 205 General Cavazos Blvd., Kingsville, Texas.
