Israel "Dino" G. Vela Jr.

Israel “Dino” G. Vela Jr., age 45, a resident of Kingsville, Texas passed away Tuesday, January 29, 2013 in Kingsville. He was born October 9, 1967 in Kingsville to Israel Vela Sr. and Maria Luisa Gutierrez Vela. He was employed as a custodian for the Kingsville Independent School District.

He was preceded in death by his father-in-law, Rene Garza.

Survivors, all of Kingsville, include his wife, Carol Garza Vela, two daughters, Kimberly Marie Vela and Kristy Renee Vela, one son, Israel Garza Vela, brother, Jose Angel Vela (Leanne), mother-in-law, Carmen A. Garza; two brothers-in-law, Rene S. Garza (Diana) of Spring, Texas and Rolando R. Garza (Yvette) of Bishop, Texas; and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.

Visitation will take place Sunday, February 3, 2013 from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at the Turcotte-Piper Mortuary Chapel. Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. Sunday, February 3, 2013 at the Turcotte-Piper Mortuary Chapel. Funeral service will be held at 2:30 p.m. Monday, February 4, 2013 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church. Burial will follow in Kingsville at the Santa Gertrudis Cemetery.
