Jacolin Ann Merrell

Jacolin Ann Merrell of Kingsville, Texas, passed away on Monday, May 28, 2012, at the age of 67. She was born on January 13, 1945, in Yonkers, New York, to Edwin and Lessie Merrell. Jacolin graduated from Corpus Christi State University with a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing. For twenty-five years, she worked for Christus Spohn Kleberg and spent the last few years as a supervising nurse before she retired.

Jacolin enjoyed cooking and traveling to new places and visiting old ones. What she really loved doing, though, was spending time with her family.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Jacolin leaves behind to cherish her memory two sisters, Laraine Merrell Allen of San Rafael, California, and Edwina Merrell Kenedy of Woodbury, Connecticut; and also many nieces, nephews and special friends.

A Reception will be held at Jacolin’s home, 547 N. CR 1020, Kingsville on Thursday, May 31, 2012, at 4:00 p.m. Interment of ashes will be held at a later date in New York.
