

Lilia M. Landers, age 87, a resident of Kingsville, Texas passed away Monday, February 14, 2011 in Kingsville. She was born on December 23, 1923 in Kingsville to Marcelo Marroquin and Manuela Gonzalez Marroquin. Mrs. Landers was employed for 20 years as a retail manager with Levines Department Store. She was a faithful member of St. Martin’s Catholic Church. She was an active member of the Columbian Ladies Council #2623.
Mrs. Landers was preceded in death on July 5, 2010 by her beloved husband, Delmar W. Landers.
Survivors, of Kingsville, include a daughter, Jennifer Lynn Goericke; son, Jose Rene Ochoa; brother, Johnny G. (Evangelina) Marroquin Sr.; former daughter-in-law, Rosa G. Hickey; two grandchildren, Leticia O. Lack and Lauro R. Ochoa Sr.; six great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will take place after 12:00 noon on Thursday, February 17, 2011 at the Turcotte-Piper Mortuary Chapel. Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. Thursday, February 17, 2011 at the Turcotte-Piper Mortuary Chapel. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Friday, February 18, 2011 at St. Martin’s Catholic Church, 715 North Eighth Street, Kingsville, Texas with Fr. Jose Naul Ordonez as celebrant. Burial will take place at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery, San Antonio, Texas and be private.
Services are entrusted to Turcotte-Piper Mortuary, 205 General Cavazos Blvd., Kingsville, Texas.
