Luis H. Reyna Jr.

Luis H. Reyna, Jr., age 69, a resident of Kingsville, Texas and a former resident of Corpus Christi and Dallas, Texas passed away Saturday, January 21, 2012 in Kingsville. He was born November 22, 1942 in Kingsville to Luis T. Reyna and Soila Herrera Reyna. Mr. Reyna was employed for 7-Eleven Corporate office in Dallas retiring after 35 years of service. His hobbies included golf, music and dancing. He was a U.S. Army veteran of Vietnam Era.

He was preceded in death by his father, Luis T. Reyna, Sr.; and brother, Fred Reyna.

Mr. Reyna is survived by his mother, Soila Torres (Geronimo) of Corpus Christi; step-father, Lionel Lerma of Kingsville; six sisters, Milda Alaniz and Alma Galindo (Albert), both of Kingsville, Sylvia Perez (Joe) of Houston, Texas, Marie Zarate (Victor) of Clute, Texas, Lucy Reyna of Sunnyvale, California and Dahlia Rushing (Bruce) of Corpus Christi; eight brothers, Rolando Lerma of Kingsville, Carlos Reyna and Hernan Lerma, both of Zapata, Texas, Jaime Lerma (Lisa) of Bishop, Texas, Rudy Reyna and Wayne Reyna, both of Freeport, Texas, John Reyna (Leilani) of Angleton, Texas and Danny Reyna of San Jose, California; one aunt, Olga Lopez of Zapata, Texas; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will take place from 8:30 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 24, 2012 at the Turcotte-Piper Mortuary. Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 24, 2012 at the Turcotte-Piper Mortuary Chapel. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, January 25, 2012 at St. Martin’s Catholic Church with Fr. Jose Naul Ordonez as celebrant. Burial will follow in Kingsville at the Santa Gertrudis Cemetery with full military honors provided by the Veterans of Kleberg County Funeral Military Detail.
