Maria de Jesus Avalos

Maria de Jesus “Sue” Avalos, 78, of Corpus Christi, Texas, passed away on Thursday, June 14, 2012. She was born on March 2,1934, in Jourdanton, Texas, to Porfirio and Maria Guzman. She was loved and will be dearly missed by her family. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 34 years, Paul S. Avalos, Sr. She is survived by her children: Paul S. Avalos, Jr., Margie (Michael) Gabrish, Dorothy (Todd) Freeman, five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. She is also survived by two sisters, Nellie Breceda and Josie Davenport.Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 16, 2012 at the Turcotte-Piper Mortuary chapel in Kingsville, Texas.Burial will follow at Resthaven Cemetery where she will be laid to rest next to her beloved husband.
