Maria Gloria Gutierrez

Gloria “Mayo” Gutierrez, age 67, a resident of Bishop, Texas passed away Sunday, April 29, 2012 at her residence. She was born July 1, 1944 in Refugio, Texas to Pedro Narvaez and Paula Cruz Narvaez. Mrs. Gutierrez was a cook for B&B Café in Bishop.

She is survived by her husband of 46 years, Procopio Gutierrez Jr. of Bishop; two daughters, Hattie Mae Myers of Freer, Texas and Judy Ann Gonzalez (Ezequiel) of Bishop; one son, Charles Manson (Selena Perez) of Bishop; three brothers, Pedro Narvaez Jr. of Arkansas, Armando “Blondie” Narvaez of Premont, Texas and Rene Narvaez (Tira) of Corpus Christi, Texas; seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Visitation will take place on Wednesday, May 2, 2012 from 2:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. at the Turcotte-Piper Mortuary Chapel. A prayer service will be held at 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 2, 2012 at Templo Galilea, 523 North Frances Street, Bishop. Funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, May 3, 2012 at the Turcotte-Piper Mortuary Chapel with Rev. Sammy Rangel officiating.

Services are entrusted to Turcotte-Piper Mortuary, 205 General Cavazos Blvd., Kingsville, Texas.
