

Mary Margaret “Mimi” Hill, age 70, a resident of Bishop, Texas passed away Thursday, February 11, 2010 in Kingsville, Texas. She was born on February 13, 1939 in Winters, Texas to Willis Gladden Bedford and Mary Nicholson Bedford. Mary was a legal secretary for many years; after moving to Bishop she was a secretary at Texas A&M University - Kingsville until her retirement. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Bishop.
Mary is survived by one son, Leslie (Debbie) Hill of College Station, Texas; two daughters, Lisa (Terry) Wendland of Red Rock, Texas and Lana Michalk of Bishop; four sisters, Barbara Helen Morris of Lawn, Texas, Gladys (Dalvin) Awalt of Midland, Texas, Russell Wells of Paris, Texas and Leah Bedford of Phoenix, Arizona; eight grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Visitation will take place on Saturday, February 13, 2010 from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 noon at the Turcotte-Piper Mortuary, Kingsville. Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. that afternoon at the First Baptist Church, 311 E. Fifth Street, Bishop, with Rev. Clif Abshier officiating. Visitation will take place on Monday, February 15, 2010 from 9:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. at the First Baptist Church, 104 West Truett Street, Winters, Texas. Funeral service will be held that morning at 10:00 a.m. at the First Baptist Church, Winters. Burial will follow in Winters at Lakeview Cemetery.
