Paul Corkill Jr.

Paul Corkill Jr., age 69, a resident of Kingsville, Texas passed away Wednesday, October 27, 2010 in Corpus Christi, Texas after a short illness. He was born on May 18, 1941 in Benavides, Texas to Paul Corkill Sr. and Bertha Coronado Corkill. Mr. Corkill worked as an engineer in Texas and South America for 30 years for various oil companies. He was a member of St. Gertrude’s Catholic Church.

Mr. Corkill was preceded in death by his son, John Marty Corkill; and father, Paul Corkill Sr.

He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Sara M. Corkill of Kingsville; one daughter, Angela (Kevin) Norwood of Fort Worth, Texas; daughter-in-law, Lupita Corkill of Kingsville; mother, Bertha Corkill of Benavides, Texas; two brothers, Dr. Ruben (Jana) Corkill of Rockport, Texas and John Edward (Shirley) Corkill of Virginia; two sisters, Margo (Carroll) Oubre of Houston, Texas and Berta (Jose) Cisneros of New Mexico; one granddaughter, Ashley Norwood of Fort Worth; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will take on Friday, October 29, 2010 from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at the Turcotte-Piper Mortuary Chapel. Rosary will be recited by Deacon Richard Costley at 7:00 p.m. Friday, October 29, 2010 at the Turcotte-Piper Mortuary Chapel. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, October 30, 2010 at St. Gertrude’s Catholic Church, Kingsville.

Burial will follow in Kingsville at Resthaven Cemetery.

Active pallbearers will be Dennis Trevino II, Ryan Edward Corkill, Ruben Albert Corkill Jr., Brettan Reid Corkill, John Paul Corkill and Pedro Jose Deffit.

Services are entrusted to Turcotte-Piper Mortuary, 205 General Cavazos Blvd., Kingsville, Texas.
