Petra L. Ramirez

Mrs. Petra Leal Ramirez, age 83, a resident of Kingsville, Texas, passed away Thursday, May 19, 2011 in Flower Mound, Texas. Born August 1, 1927 in Kingsville, Texas, to Roque Leal and Julia Silguero Leal, Mrs. Ramirez was a homemaker.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and sister, Rufina Garza.

Petra Leal Ramirez is survived by her daughter, Lil’ Pat (JR) Rivera of Lantana, Texas; four sons, Joe R. (Margarita) Lopez of Del Rio, Texas, Oscar (Barbara) Garza of Fort Worth, Texas, Roque (Barbara) Rosas of Georgetown, Texas, and Luis A. Ramirez of Midland, Texas; sister, Francis Caple of Kingsville, Texas; 18 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren and two great, great- grandchildren.

Rosary will be recited at 7:00p.m. Sunday, May 22, 2011 at the Turcotte-Piper Mortuary Chapel. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Monday, May 23, 2011, at St. Gertrude Catholic Church with Fr. Bruno Mikolajczyk as celebrant. Burial will follow in Kingsville at Resthaven Cemetery.
