Soila H. Torres

Soila Herrera Torres, age 87, a resident of Corpus Christi, Texas and a former resident of Kingsville, Texas passed away Sunday, November 25, 2012 in Kingsville. She was born April 8, 1925 in Kingsville to Fermin Herrera and Hortencia Gonzales Herrera.

Mrs. Torres was preceded in death by two sons, Fred Reyna and Luis Reyna Jr.; brother, Hector Herrera; and parents.

She is survived by her husband of 28 years, Geronimo Torres of Corpus Christi; three daughters, Milda Alaniz and Alma Galindo (Albert), both of Kingsville, and Dahlia Rushing (Bruce) of Corpus Christi; four sons, Carlos Reyna and Hernan Lerma, both of Zapata, Texas, Jaime Lerma (Lisa) of Bishop, Texas and Rolando Lerma of Kingsville; one brother, Joel Herrera of Zapata; one sister, Olga Lopez (Hector) of Zapata; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation will take place from 8:30 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 27, 2012 at the Turcotte-Piper Mortuary Chapel. Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 27, 2012 at the Turcotte-Piper Mortuary Chapel. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, November 28, 2012 at St. Martin’s Catholic Church with Fr. Jose Naul Ordonez as celebrant. Burial will follow in Kingsville at the Santa Gertrudis Cemetery.
