Albert “Al” G. Weis, 73, of Poinciana, Florida passed away Saturday, October 20, 2012 at the Osceola Regional Medical Center after a 2 ½ year battle with cancer. Born in Queens, New York on August 10, 1939, he was the son of the late Albert Victor Weis and the late Eleanor Stoll Weis. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Lorraine Weis; his daughter, Laura Weis; and his brother, Richard Weis.
Al had retired from Disney after a 30 year career. In his retirement he enjoyed traveling and socializing.
Survivors include his companion, George Peirce; his sons, Albert, Scott and Greg; his granddaughter, Jayde; and his sister, Carolyn Mathys; and his many friends at Solivita.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, November 9, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. at The Palms in Solivita. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
