He loved John 3:16, "For god so loved... and he credited that verse for bringing him to salvation.
Before leaving Manitoba, Anthony attended the Winnipeg Bible College and the Salvation Army College. He met his future wife, Isabel Dubs, when she was asked to speak at the Intervarsity Christian Fellowship meeting in Windsor, Ontario, and he walked her home that same evening. The Lord brought them together and Anthony and Isabel were married on August 11, 1945.
He felt a strong call from the Lord to further his education and enter the ministry and after his marriage to Isabel, attended the Nyack Missionary College graduating in June of 1946. He attended Nyack again to earn a further degree in Theology, graduating in 1960.
Two days before his graduation from Nyack, Donna Ruth was born in 1946. Anthony's first pastorate was in Chatham, Ontario during which time he was ordained into the Christian and Missionary Alliance. During his years of Ministry, he served as chaplain in eight locations, including at the Care Center here at Good Samaritan and at Give Kids the World.
He longed for heaven, and after a fall on September 26, the Lord answered his prayer and took him to his reward.
"Well done, good and faithful servant."
"Blessed be the name of the Lord."
