As a follow up to my earlier posting - I'm attaching a photo of Chuck as he was when it all started with our friendship back when............

Chuck and I were childhood buddies. Attended same church and youth group, same high school, YFC, and same college. We even were college roommates one year. Now that year was one of some quite interesting experiences........such as Chuck getting in late from his job at the bakery and falling asleep at his desk with the BRIGHT desk light shining in face. I never knew Chuck to have a small idea or project. Everything he attempted was on a grandious scale. Why? I believe it was because he believed in a grandious and gracious God who through the grace of His Son Jesus had provided the eternal life which he is now enjoying in the presence of his Master. Each of us who knew Chuck in this life are better equipped to fellowship with him and our Master one day in heaven. THANKS Chuck!

Although we were all congregants at Community Presbyterian Church in Celebration, Fl, we didn’t actually meet Chuck and Ethel until accompanying a group from the church on a trip to Israel back in the Spring of 2017. It was over a bowl of soup. In the past 2 ½ years we’ve been privileged and blessed to be called “friends” by Chuck and Ethel.

Chuck was enormously talented in so many ways: He was a gifted poet, prolific writer, amazing artist and painter of canvas and glass, wonderful singer, musician and teacher . . . all in addition to being a compassionate, people-loving man of God as a pastor for over 64 years. You couldn’t help but feel better in Chuck’s presence. His personal warmth and intellectual curiosity were all-encompassing. Both he and Ethel shared huge and loving heart with everyone they touched

While we grieve and lament our loss of Chuck with his family and many friends, we are joyous in knowing that this man of great faith and good soul is happily home now with his Lord, Jesus, and his Heavenly Father. Everything Chuck believed and taught is now his experience.

Chuck was a Saint among men. He befriended everyone he met. He was always so very inclusive of everyone because he really believed that God so loved the world. His music was amazing and he knew the power of congregational singing. His hymn nights at Community Pres. in Celebration drew great crowds that sang from their hearts for everyone to hear and enjoy. We love you Chuck. We could see Jesus in you and your life. We miss you already but know you are singing His praises in glory right now and forever.
