Donna Lee Barton

Donna Lee Pike Barton had a very rich and fulfilling life. She was born October 6, 1954 in Corry, Pa, where she lived in various surrounding areas with her parents Donald and Norma Pike. She has two brothers Glenn Pike and his wife Luanne (Spartanburg, PA), Tom Pike (Kissmmee, FL) and a sister Luella and husband David Diffenderfer (Panama, NY). Her husband John Barton III, of 43years and 363 days who she met roller skating as a teenager. They have three children, Kimberly Besonson and her husband Gene( Prescott Valley, AZ), Holly Barton (Kissimmee, FL) and John Barton IV and wife Jackie(Spartanburg, PA). She was blessed with six wonderful granddaughters; Cynthia Biebel (Kissimmee,FL), Carrie Biebel ( Spartansburg, PA) and Karen Biebel (North East, PA), Zoey and MacKenzie Fletcher (Kissimme, FL), Jennaveve Barton (Spartansburg,PA).

Donna Lee received her nursing degree in 1988 from Villa Maria College. She worked at Corry Memorial Hospital for 11 years, before following her dream and moving to Florida to work as a nurse at Walt Disney World. She always welcomed family and friends to stay in her home and would take them to Disney.

Her passions were painting, sewing Halloween costume and clothes for her granddaughters. She also enjoyed working on her family genealogy and travel to the various countries her family originated.

Her favorite holiday was Christmas. She enjoyed decorating the house and dressing in festive clothes and buying presents for her children, grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews and spending time with them.

Taking care of her and not leaving her side over the past 17 months was her husband John. Her daughter Kim helped him with her care the last month.

Per her last wishes, several family members and friends came to visit Donna Lee during the last few days of her life. Sharing stories of the past and showering her with flowers, cards and love.

While going through pictures, seeing her smile while doing the things she loved made us smile. She's now with her mom and dad looking down upon us.
