We are so very sorry for your loss. We went to church with Lew and Doris when they lived up here in NJ. We have many happy memories of the them. Praying for you and your family at this very difficult time.

We were co-workers of Doris and Lew during their tenure with the Federal Government and were saddened to learn of Doris's passing.  We have many fond memories of working with Doris.  She was a consummate professional who went the extra mile in her work and the important service that it provided to our country.   On a personnel level, Doris had a quick wit, and was full of life; she was a joy to work with.  Not a week passes that we don't reflect on the happy times we shared with Doris and Lew.  We offer our condolences to her family and friends with the knowledge that her spirit still lives in our hearts.

I know Doris from our Church in Vineland, NJ.  We were so sad when she and Lew moved to FL, but sent them off with a party and lots of hugs.  Through FB we stayed in touch. We are all so sorry to learn of Doris' passing, but know that she rests with our Heavenly Father now. She and Lew are together again. With deep sympathy, prayers and love.

Roland and Bill, I lost touch with your Mom when she moved from Marmora.  I knew her when your family  came from Las Vegas with the opening of the Atlantic City Casinos.  She was a wonderful lady who loved her children.  We had some great times together. May she rest in peace.

I love you mom. I will miss my weekly phone calls that you and would have.

I can't be there for my aunt's funeral so I am posting this in her memory.

In Memory of Aunt Doris:

Aunt Doris, I remember the great times we spent in Edgewood, Maryland.  We would come to visit and most of the time we would all go cruise the Chesapeake Bay on your boat.  I will never forget the week I spent with you on the bay crabbing and eating our catch.  I always had such a great time being with you. 

When I turned 10 years old, and we moved out west to Las Vegas, everyone was so excited.  After a few months my mother passed away.  I was devastated.  I remember you came and sat down with me and told me something that to this day I will never forget.  You told me that I shouldn't be so sad because God needed my mother to do something very special that no one else could do.  I understood.  Those words helped me through her passing and even today I remember them.  I hope God has something special for you to do as well.  

We all moved back to Maryland.  Our families started to stray apart and we no longer visited.  I always thought that was sad.  Several years ago I found you on Facebook.  I was so excited.  I told you that I loved you very much and you told me that you loved me too.  

You were a role model for me growing up.  I respected you so much.  I will miss you deeply.    

I love you Aunt Doris.

We will always remember her as her picture shows her.   God bless her family, but believe that she is happier where she is.
