Dorothy Evelyn Mann Swingle passed away on Thursday, May 8th at Good Samaritan Nursing Home in Kissimmee; FL. Mrs. Swingle was born on October 8, 1916 in Dunmore, PA. to Floyd Eugene Mann and Gertrude Elizabeth Hanger. She moved to Kissimmee in 1970 from Middlesex NJ.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Gerald Thomas Swingle, her brothers, Bill and Arthur Mann. She is survived by her sister Eleanor Smith of Birmingham, AL and several nieces and nephews.
She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Kissimmee, FL and was a volunteer at the Good Samaritan Thrift shop for many years.
Dorothy’s life will be celebrated on Wednesday May 14, 2014 at Grissom Funeral Home in Kissimmee. The visitation will take place from 10:00 AM until 12:00 PM. The service will start at 12:00 PM, officiated by Rev. Dr. Wooten. The burial will follow at Osceola Memory Gardens.
