Eddie Joe Grant

Eddie was born in Oconee County, South Carolina and was a resident of Florida for more than 35 years. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1955 to 1957. He enjoyed stock car racing, and owned and raced a vintage modified Skeeter that was partially sponsored by his favorite restaurant, Hooters.

He is survived by his loving wife of 32 years, Mrs. Gloria Grant. He also had six children, Keith Grant of St. Cloud, Florida, Willie Ray Phelps of Kissimmee, Florida, Geoffrey Grant of West Columbia, South Carolina, Teresa Gail Phelps of Orlando, Florida, Tina Marie Phelps (deceased) and Janetta Wood of San Rafael, California; two sisters, Barbara Ozburn of Quitman, Georgia and Martha Johnson of McDonough, Georgia; one brother, Giles Grant (deceased); eleven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

The Visitation will be Saturday, August 10, 2013, from 12 Noon to 2:00 PM, and the Memorial Service will be conducted at 2:00 PM, at Grissom Chapel.
