Efrain Diaz, 71, passed away on June 21, 2019. He was born on October 7, 1947 in Humacao, Puerto Rico to the late Aurelio Diaz I and Alicia Torres-Diaz.
Efrain always enjoyed working with his hands. Cooking, gardening, endlessly tinkering with electronics, making repairs and preparing hot sauce were all favorite pastimes of his. Efrain also enjoyed music, dancing and a sip of his "mamajuana".
Efrain was preceded in death by his father Aurelio, mother Alicia, his younger brother Edwin Diaz and his older brother Rafael Diaz. He is survived by his son Eric Diaz, sister Maria E. Figueroa, brother Ruben Diaz, brother Aurelio Diaz II, sister Aida I Diaz, sister Irma Diaz, brother David Diaz and granddaughter Alyssa Diaz.
Efrain was truly an inspiration to everyone, including his son and siblings. He will always be remembered as "Uncle Sweetbread" as he travels "Down The Road Again" "For Sure".
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Grissom Funeral Home in Kissimmee, Florida. A memorial service is to be set at a later time.
