Inumerables llamadas.Fuistes una gran mujer dejandonos un gran legado. La fe y el optimismo de ser cada dia mejor. Rezo cada dia el Santo Rosario como tu lo hacias. Cuchita, from the first day I met you, you "adopted me."  Thank you for changing my life forever, for all the positive and encouraging words, as well a your evident faith, contagious laugh, and incredible compassion.  Your love for God and your familybradiated within you to those who were blessed enough to know you. You left heartprints in my heart that I will never forget.  Dance away Cuchita to your heart's desire - nothing holding you back anymore!!!  make the angels laugh and know you'll be missed intensely!  I love you<3

"OUR DANCING QUEEN" Herminia "Cuhita" Cabrera was born in San Juan, Puerto Rico on October 22, 1927 amd went to her eternal home on Sept. 4, 2012.  She is survived by her much adored daughters; Joanne Pietri and Ingrid Figueroa, living sons-in-law, Freddy Pietri and Rogelio Figueroa, her beloved grandchildren: Gian Paul Pietri, Giovanna Pietri, Ingrid Alexis Figueroa and Kathy Figueroa, and the newest light of her life great-grandson: Gianni Gabriel Cruz.

Cuchita was a long-time member of St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, The Red Hat Ladies, and was Founder and member of The Centro PuertorriqueÃ±o of Osceola County - an ICON!  

Our beloved Cuchita was sassy, flirty, classy, a dancing diva who was awesome and unmatched on the dancing floor, creative, a fan of "I Love Lucy," life of any party or gathering she walked into, a joker, loving, caring, an optimist, and she was objective, passionate and very giving.  Cuchita was an amazing mother, grandmother, greatgrandmother and mother-in-,law who loved and treasured her family beyond words or measure.

She was known for her always positive and great attitude in life.  A woman of faith who was determined, supportive, encouraging, compassionate, and infinetly touched the lives of every one she met, for the better.  To know her was to automatically love her.  Wherever Cuchita went, she made sure she knew how incredibly proud she was of her family!  

Her favorite phrases were: "Live your life to the fullest today and don't worry about tomorrow," and "Hasta una mala mirada que tu hagas la pagaras aqui en la tierra."  

Cuchita loved to see her granddaughter Giovanna on stage performing.  And Giovanna thinks she was her favorite granddauhter, but, Giovanna, we got news for you honey - all of her grandchildren were her favorites:) She was so proud of each of you and her face would light up whenever she was with you!

And those of you who knew Cuchita, know that she always looked FABULOUS!!  She was never without her red lipstick, red nails and, of course, matching from head to toe! And how many of us didn't have the pleasure of enjoying her world-renowned, "deviled eggs!?"  

Cuchita was an extraordinary woman who is now our Guardian Angel.  We know she's in heaven dancing with all the angels and arranging the next big party up there!  We too loved her without measure and are honored that she was our mom, mother-in-law, grandmother and greatgrandmother.  This world and our lives and homes will never be the same without you, and we will miss you and honor you and your legacy for all the days of our lives!  Save a dance for us Mama!
