When he returned from the war, he became an electrician and worked for the Guggenheim Museum and Con Edison. James cherished his family above all else. When he moved to Florida, he dedicated his life to helping his family.
He was the official transportation service for his daughter, taking her to and from her various jobs until he bought her first car. His mother-in-law relied on him for rides to work and help with errands.
James was the family caretaker. When his mother and mother-in-law got sick, he made sure they were taken care of. He was the official babysitter for his granddaughter. Pop-Pop’s summer camp was the best because it included endless trips to Disney.
He loved his son-in-law, and shared his knowledge of painting, electrical, and flooring skills with him, and was always ready to help.
His interests included listening to music, reading books, watching movies, lottery scratch offs and baking. He took pride in doing all the baking for the holidays.

He is survived by his wife, Margaret Marshall; daughter, Jennifer Greenhalgh; son-in-law, Scott Greenhalgh; granddaughter, Brittany Climer; grandson-in-law, Christian Climer; and great-grandson, Jaxson Climer.
