Julia and Robbie, we have no words to convey how sorry we are for your loss. Your dad was the kindest man, with the best wry sense of humor. I remember thinking your dad was the tallest man in the world growing up. Nick and I are the luckiest to have him as our uncle. We love you both and will miss him very much! xoxox <3 ana and nick

We were so shocked and saddened on hearing of Jim's sudden passing. He was a true gentleman and the best brother-in-law ever. He will be missed in our lives and our family gatherings. I added photos of when we were younger -because in our mind we are still young!  xo Lynn and Dave

I grew up across the street from Jim and his family! He always made the best jokes, ones that I never understood or got until I was older. And even though he always scared me when I was kid because he was oooh so tall he was the kindest man! Had the biggest love for all his pups, all his children and of course the Bears. I still can’t believe he is gone but I know for a fact who he was as person is carried on in his children; Julia and especially Rob.  Love and will forever miss you Jim!

I was so fortunate to have Jim as my father-in-law. He was selfless, kind hearted, and the sweetest guy.  He was a joy to be around. I will miss him every day. "To know him is to love him"

It has been so very sad for me to hear the news of Jim's passing. We worked side by side for many years, sharing an important period of time in both of our lives, which will forever have him stored deep in my memory bank.

Jim you will be so missed by your Stouffer/Renaissance family. You brought a smile and laugh to us all every day with your jokes and pranks! Your kindness spread like wild flowers. The memories we all shared with you will be forever in our hearts.

A familiar face to all of us on the ISU campus in the 80's, Jim was fun and funny, bringing a smile to everyone.  How lucky we all were to meet Jim the first week of Freshman Year. We partied, we studied, we played some tennis, and we drank some beer.  Just as college should be!  I was honored to stand up for him and Patti in their wedding and meet their two children when they were littles.  Wish I would have stayed better connected.  But I will never forget this chill T-Bird!  He was a very good friend to me in our 20's, and I am a better person for knowing him. Be at Peace Jim.

Jim was the smile you came to expect at every corner.  He had a twinkle in his eye and a smirk on his face.   I’ll miss him terribly.  What a great guy.

Jim was one of my favorite boss and colleague over the years at the Renaissance. He was the nicest guy that left a tremendous affect on all. Please let us know when a service so we may all pay our respects
