John was a civil engineer for the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and retired at the age of 55. During his long retirement, he enjoyed woodworking, helping his sister with many projects, and traveling around the world. He was always using his engineering mind to fix things and took pride in using his skills to help others.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Lorie, who passed away in 1976. John is survived by his children: Dan (Carlyn) Buehler, Terri Nagel, Bob (Maureen) Buehler, and Patti Tucker. He was a proud grandfather to 12 grandchildren and great-grandfather to 10 great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, October 11th, at 10:30 am at Ascension Cemetery in Libertyville, Illinois, where John will be laid to rest beside his wife, Lorie.
