John Robert Masters, 56, of Kissimmee, Osceola County, Florida, passed away peacefully on June 23, 2026, at 1:15 p.m., alongside his beloved sister, Janet Masters (65).
Born on July 5, 1969, in Kansas City, Missouri, John was the son of the late Roberta Masters and Bud Masters.
John built a career doing what he loved most—driving. He began working for a cab company, where he eventually owned several taxicabs. He later became a member of Teamsters Local 541, working as an over-the-road pipeline truck driver. His work took him across the 48 contiguous states, where he earned a reputation as a skilled and dependable driver.
After making Florida his home, John discovered a special love for Walt Disney World, a passion he shared with his beloved sister, Janet Masters. Together they enjoyed visiting the parks and participating in Dapper Day, dressing in vintage-inspired attire and embracing the timeless charm and magic of Disney. Those trips together created treasured memories that remained close to John's heart and reflected the special bond they shared.
Outside of work, John was a true outdoorsman who found peace and happiness in nature. He enjoyed gardening, camping, and exploring antique shops in search of unique treasures and pieces of history. He also loved spending time playing pool with family and friends. Whether he was tending a garden, relaxing around a campsite, hunting for antiques, or enjoying a friendly game of pool, John appreciated life's simple pleasures and the time spent with those he loved.
John was baptized and gave his life to the Lord, a decision that brought him peace and comfort in his faith.
Above all, John loved his family. He is survived by his two beloved daughters, Cecedra Masters (26) and Codi Masters (24); his cherished grandchildren, Remington Williams (5) and Roselynn Highfill (3); his niece, Julie Williams; his nephews, James Ferguson and Jacob Ferguson; his great-nephews, Jordan Lehane and Jameson Lehane; and his great-niece, Jenna Lehane; as well as many loving aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family members, and dear friends.
John was preceded in death by his parents, Roberta Masters and Bud Masters, and his beloved sister, Janet Masters.
John will be remembered for his dedication to his profession, his adventurous spirit, and the kindness he showed to those around him. From the open highways he traveled across America to the magic he found at Walt Disney World, he embraced life with determination, curiosity, and joy. His greatest legacy lives on in the family he loved and the countless memories he created with those fortunate enough to know him.
Though he is no longer with us, John's love, laughter, and spirit will remain in the hearts of all who knew him. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
