John Thomas Nemia, 85 of Kissimmee, FL passed away October 19, 2010. Born September 6, 1925 in Brooklyn, NY the son of the late Thomas and Rosalia Nemia. John attended St. Mary’s star of the sea and St. Frances preparatory High. He had 5 sisters, two of which became nuns. Upon graduation, he entered the Armed forces and served under Gen. Patton, 3rd Army and attained Sergeant T4 rank. After his discharge he attended the NY trade school to learn floor covering tech. He moved to Newburgh and was employed by the Hudson Rug Company as a carpet installer and repairman. In 1960 he started the Beejay carpet company. Upon retiring he moved to Kissimmee in 1994. He was a life member of the V.F.W., American Legion and Disabled Veterans. He is survived by his wife, Chong Nemia of 36 years. Visitation will be held 5 to 8 P.M., Monday, October 25, 2010 at Grissom Funeral Home.
