Kary F. Smith, 52, of Davenport, passed away on Monday, January 6, 2014, at home under the care of Cornerstone Hospice, Platinum Team, after a two year battle with breast cancer. Kary was born on October 14, 1961 in Shiloh Valley, Illinois to Ted (USAF ret.) and Judith (Proctor) Fenwick. She graduated Magna Cum Laude with a BS Degree in Political Science from the College of Charleston (S.C.) in 1984. She worked as a paralegal with the law office’s of Ness, Motley, Loadholt, Richardson & Poole, and, for the past 15 years, as a Cast Member at the Walt Disney World Company. She enjoyed tinkering around her house and tending to her Basset Hounds, Louie and Katie. Along with her loving husband Elvin, of 30 years, and her parents, Kary is survived by her sister, Jeff Phillips, of Atlanta, GA., and two nephews, Andrew M. Phillips and Daniel T. Phillips, also of Atlanta, GA.
