Sorry to hear of Ray's passing ( best friend I had hear in the UK) taught me a lot about life and business a one off will never forget Scuba Diving trips and the buying of Diving  equipment or anything for that matter, our trips up to London/ Chelsea and the Fulham Palace Rd every week (they will never be another RAY) May your Star shine bright

Ray did so much for Arlesey Scout Group.  It is still going strong today.  We all remember the good times we had camping and building the Scout Hut. All started off by Ray with his drive and determination. 
You were sorely missed when you departed for the USA.

The thought of you no longer being here is still truly unbelievable. You were such a presence in so many people’s lives. I was deeply saddened to hear about Ray’s passing. I had the great pleasure of knowing him for over 30 years, both as a client and as a friend. He was a truly lovely man — kind, considerate, and always quietly thoughtful. His sense of humour was wonderful, often sending me funny memes that never failed to bring a smile to my face. When we spoke the conversation was always full of laughs. Ray’s warmth extended far beyond his friendships; he was deeply devoted to his family and spoke of them with such love and pride.

I’ll always remember the joy he shared through his Christmas lights — a tradition that reflected his cheerful spirit and his desire to spread happiness to those around him. Ray was someone who brought light in many ways, and I will miss him enormously.

Please accept my heartfelt condolences. My thoughts are with you all during this incredibly difficult time.

Such a kind, gentle, fun brother/brother-in-law.  Sorry we cannot be there at this time.

We remember him buying our starter furniture when we got married and lived in Luton, such a great help to us. Things that bring a smile to our faces, like visiting him, when he got his first microwave and gave us what looked like uncooked sausages to try!!

We will miss the various what’s app messages, jokes, communications that came through regularly. Not only us, but our grandsons too, will miss the video’s/photos of the annual Christmas displays. 

You went too soon Ray, but you had a good life and you were loved.

So sad to hear Ray has passed unexpectedly soon. He leaves a Ray shaped void in the Universe but we will remember his warm and often mischievous nature with fondness.

Uncle Ray, the world is going to be a little less bright without you. 
Thank you for being my Uncle, you were always funny, generous and caring. I have many happy memories of spending time with you as a child in the Uk. You took us to the Beefeater Pub for dinner, where we had the ‘horn of plenty’ ice cream desserts. It was such a treat. I remember staying at your home and us children putting on shows for you. 
You have always welcomed us when we have been over to Florida. I’m most grateful I saw you a couple of years ago and shared a ‘Flaming Onion’  and a steak dinner. Lois enjoyed meeting her great Uncle Ray.

I was so sad to hear of Ray's passing. He was a kind, generous, humorous, good natured, and loving family man. My condolences to those closest to him.

We were both saddened  to hear of the passing of Ray.
 We will miss his clear thinking and sense of humour and receiving weekly funny stories on the internet 
 I will treasure the road trip to the Tampa baseball game with Ray to see the Marlins.  I asked Ray if he would accompany me which he agreed on one condition, namely that I drive the car. He then said that he hated driving in the US despite living there for 20 years!
We had a great time together. 
Yvonne recalls how proud Ray was of his outside Christmas lights and decorations. He liked doing them and enjoyed videoing and sharing his comments on the latest additions.

I’ve known Ray since I was 18 years old, so young and still a kid.  First time I met him it was a little intimidating as I was meeting the in-laws for the first time and being 5,000 miles from home but then his crazy dry sense of humor came out and made me feel so welcome in his home. Always remember him cooking the burgers and chicken tikka on the bbq at Jamaica lane he loved cooking on the patio. Jumping in the pool with his clothes on trying to trick the kids that he had his phone and wallet in his pockets, doing those funny finger tricks so it looked like he took his finger off his hand to freak the girls out. Always asking us what snacks we were bringing round for game nights or ufc fight nights so he could have a treat. Listening to the stories he’d tell when Tracey and Tony were little and his diving days. Made me laugh so hard one day when I walked into the office while he was blowing raspberries down the phone to the telemarketers. That was the type of guy he was, always wanted to make people laugh. He’s not only been a father figure to me but also a good friend, he had such a generous heart that would buy you something that you never even realized you needed. Always one step ahead. We’ve drunk a lot of wine together, played a lot of uno, and eaten a lot of blooming onions together, someone I’ve laughed with and someone I’ve cried with over the years. He’s always been there for me and my girls and we truly appreciate everything he has done for us. We will forever miss his smile and can’t believe he’s gone. Love you Ray x

So sorry to hear of your passing Ray, having had the pleasure of working with and helping you and Jan for the last 15 years or so, I will truly miss our catch-ups and chats about life, the universe and everything. Although long distance for so much of it, the times we got together and when you welcomed me and my family into your home really stand out in my memory, we had such a great time and made such great memories. Jan’s kindness and encouragement to my son stand out too. Miss you my favourite client and friend. God speed.

Ray always brought a smile to my face , he had such a cheeky grin . Ray had fun in winding people up  I’m sure people will have some stories to tell, 
one thing he loved was cooking a whole chicken in this large can full of very hot oil, only took few minutes  tasted great good memory for me

Ray, a man to be respected,  a man who loved his family dearly. 
Many happy times spent around Tracey's parents house as a teenager, memories of us being rushed to the bus station by Ray to make the coach for a beach trip.

We had a million memories together, you gave me and Jacob the most amazing, fun childhood. From the most amazing Halloweens to leaving shoe prints of Santa through the kitchen, and going on the highest water slides with me. You truly were the most amazing, fun, supportive grandad I could of ever wished for. 

Thank you for the continuous support, and continuous life advice, and always being there for me through my lows. There will forever be a hole in my heart, and I can’t quite believe you have gone. I will continue to make you proud.

Ray’s passing will leave a huge hole in the hearts of everyone who knew him, it simply won’t ever close, such is the impact he made.   

I will remember Ray with truly wonderful memories, a man with enormous integrity who showed me nothing but respect and support since I met his daughter Tracey.  In some of my more challenging times, he was only ever a phone call away, to offer guidance, and advice unconditionally.

I’ll miss our chats and his unique and dry sense of humour. My life will be immeasurably better for having had Ray Mead in it.  Rest in eternal peace my friend x
