Samuel Mark Norville, born on April 25, 1948, in Castries, St. Lucia, passed away peacefully on May 9, 2025. He was the beloved husband of Juliana King Norville, whom he married on November 26, 1998, in St. Louis, Missouri.
Samuel's life was marked by dedication and service. He attended the Roman Catholic Boys School in St. Lucia, achieving notable success. After leaving school, he worked in the agricultural industry for several years. Heartbroken after his first love, Juliana, left to pursue her career as a nurse in the United Kingdom, Samuel took up folk dancing before enlisting in the military. He served for over 10 years as a computer specialist.
In 1997, Samuel and Juliana rekindled their relationship after a phone call from his sister, Myrtle John. Juliana joined Samuel in the United States, where they were wed on November 26, 1998, in St. Louis, Missouri and subsequently relocated to Florida in 2006.
Samuel's health began to deteriorate in 2019, but he remained a loving and devoted husband until his passing. He was well cared for at home by his loving wife Juliana and subsequently spent his last days at the Harbor View Nursing & Rehab Center, where he was cared for by an incredible staff, as well as his wife who visited him daily. He lived his life to the fullest to the very end.
Samuel will be remembered for his dedication to his family, his service to his country, and his love for folk dancing. He is survived by his wife, Juliana, his daughter Samantha Mitchell, sons Dawad Norville and Ryan Norville, stepson Martin King, grandson Jameson, sisters Myrtle John, Linda Brown and Cynthia Brown, brothers, Gerald Norville, Michael Williams, Felix Pierre-Louis, Elbert Thomas and Rupert Francis and his extended family and friends who will miss him dearly.
Though Samuel is no longer with us, his memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved them. We take comfort in knowing that he is now at peace, and we will cherish the moments we shared together. Samuel's legacy of kindness, generosity, and love will continue to inspire us every day. Rest in peace, Samuel. You will be deeply missed.
