April 17, 1946 – October 18, 2025
Susan Casey, 79, of Kissimmee, Florida, passed away peacefully on October 18, 2025. She was born on April 17, 1946, in Wauwatosa, Wisconsin, and spent most of her life in Clintonville and Appleton, Wisconsin, before moving to Kissimmee.
Susan was a devoted Christian whose faith guided her throughout her life. Despite living with medical disabilities, she never allowed them to define or limit her. She lived each day with strength, humor, and compassion, dedicating much of her time to volunteering with organizations that supported seniors and people with disabilities.
She is survived by her loving daughter, Cathryn (Cathy) Cavis, and son-in-law, Gerald (Gerry) Cavis; her cherished granddaughter, Sydney (Nau) Hill, and grandson-in-law, Aaron Hill; and her beloved grand-dog, Bella, who brought her endless joy and companionship.
Susan was preceded in death by her parents, Amos and Leone (Nietzke) Schulz, and her twin brother, James Schulz.
Those who knew Susan will remember her for her kindness, her playful spirit, and her unwavering love for her family and dear friends. She adored spending time with her daughter, playing cards, board games and cuddles with Bella. She took great joy in following her granddaughter’s accomplishments and upcoming wedding. Susan was also a passionate Green Bay Packers fan and could always be found cheering on her team.
During her years at Good Samaritan Village in Kissimmee, Susan was surrounded by many wonderful, caring, and thoughtful friends. Her family extends heartfelt gratitude to the staff at Good Samaritan Care Center for their years of loving, compassionate care — they were truly her second family.
A memorial service to celebrate Susan’s life will be held on Tuesday, November 4, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. at Good Samaritan Church, 1441 Hoeger Circle, Kissimmee, Florida.
Susan will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her, but her warmth, laughter, and faith will live on in their hearts forever.
