
She is survived by her devoted husband and caregiver Eduardo Cruz, daughters Jessica Ramos, Fabiola Cruz and Maribel Mohr; sisters Blanca Chami, Nancy Serna, brother Renee Malaga, five grandchildren Cynthia Cruz, Alexander Cruz, Priscilla Ramos, Sasha and Zoe “Bailey” Mohr and three great grandchildren Isabella, Ariana and Daisy.
Yolanda was born in Arequipa, Peru in 1943 the daughter of Victoria and Franciso Malaga. She came to the United States in 1971 with her husband and two young daughters seeking the American dream. The family settled in Union City, NJ before welcoming their 3rd daughter who solidified their place in the United States.
Yolanda was a highly skilled seamstress, a dedicated and loving mother and a talented artist of many mediums. After retiring in 1999 she moved with Eduardo to join their two oldest daughters to Kissimmee, FL where she enjoyed many sunny years as the family matriarch.
A Memorial Mass Will be held Friday, August 25th at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church, 1603 N. Thacker Avenue, Kissimmee, FL 34741 at 1 PM.
