With heavy hearts we announce the passing of Harry Gordon Brooke, peacefully in his sleep at Columbia Forest Long Term Care Center on Thursday April 14, 2011 in his 84th year. Harry will be dearly missed by his son Tim and his wife Bridget of Baden and by his niece Lynne Wallace of Toronto and nephew Bob Wallace of Seattle, WA. Predeceased by his loving wife of 57 years Wilma (nee Day) on January 19, 2011, by his son Stephen in 1980 and by his sister Dorothy and her husband Bob. Harry Brooke was employed as Quality Control Manager with Budd Automotive for over 25 years and was a volunteer at Freeport Hospital with his lovely wife after their retirement. Harry will be sadly missed by all who knew him. Cremation has taken place with a private graveside service for both Harry and Wilma to follow at a later date. As expressions of sympathy donations to the Alzheimer’s Society greatly appreciated.
