Our John is gone
He played us his song
Flying his Avro Arrow
Amidst the busy throng
He plunged into the stars
To meet up with his wife
Leaving behind loved ones
Along with some of life’s strife
From a young boy
John was a man of machines
Inventing with metal and high tech
What others could only dream
John was a collector
Of many things
First and foremost came his family
And his pets and his friends
He is now riding on the Concord
With Alice at his side
His son Greg is the pilot
They are all beaming at us with pride.
