John was a member of the Central New Apostolic Church and had been employed by Waterloo Complex.

Dear husband to Phoumy (Amy), beloved father to Phylicia and Benjamin both of Kitchener, cherished son to Boupha Luangxay of Cambridge, brother to Phixay (Peter) and his wife Viphone of Cambridge, Phanomxay (Philip) and his wife Phim and Phouxay (David) and his wife My, all of Kitchener, Douangchay (Linda) and her husband Nonay Dounedara and Anoxay (Allen) all of Cambridge.

Predeceased by his father Lam Luangxay and a brother and sister Phimchay and Phoxay.

Friends may call at the Ratz-Bechtel Funeral Home, 621 King St. W., Kitchener on Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 where the funeral service will be held from the Margaret Avenue, New Apostolic Church on Friday at 7:00 pm with Evangelist Henry Bendik officiating. A Buddhist service will be held on Saturday at 11:00 am from the Ratz-Bechtel Funeral Home followed by cremation at Williamsburg Cemetery.
