Marie Catherine Priess Rumig

Peacefully at the Grand River Hospital on Sunday January 22, 2012, in her 88th year. Marie is survived by her dear daughter Diane (Robert) Curzon of Cambridge and loving son Donald (Jane) of St. Jacobs. She will be sadly missed by her grandchildren Tammy, Cory, Donald Jr.. and Brandon, and great grandchildren Kaitlynn, Christopher, Tateum, Molly and William, and great great granddaughter Melissa. Survived by her sister Pearl Merkley of Kitchener and brother Roy Priess of Kitchener. Marie is predeceased by her husband Hubert (January 21, 1975), her parents Henry and Rose (nee Meirowski) Preiss, her sisters Vera Kuntz and Minerva Kraeling and her brothers Irvin and Ruben. The family will receive friends at the Ratz-Bechtel Funeral Home, 621 King St. W. today ( Tuesday) from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m., parish prayers at 8:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church, 148 Madison Ave. S. on Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. with Fr. Tom Vermiglio officiating. Interment at Woodland Cemetery followed by a reception in the church hall provided by St. Joseph’s CWL of which Marie was a long time member of.
