Ms. Mary Jane Catherine Amlinger Crozier

Passed away peacefully after a courageous battle with cancer on Saturday, July 17, 2010 at K-W Health Centre of Grand River Hospital in her 58th year. Loving mother to Shawn (Nikki) and Michael(Denise). Beloved sister of Jerome (Susan), Mark (Heather), Patrick (Sandy), and Dr. Peter (Tracey). Proud grandmother to Zander and Dylan. Mary Jane leaves behind her loving four legged friend, Rufus. Sadly missed by 12 nieces and nephews and many cousins. Predeceased by parents Gerald and Mary Amlinger, and brother Paul.

Mary Jane graduated from St. Joseph’s Nursing College, Guelph, in 1973, and worked for Hamilton General Hospital as a nurse for 5 years. She then moved to Kitchener and nursed at K-W Health Centre of Grand River Hospital for 33 years. She was a lifetime member of St. Anne’s R.C. Church, Kitchener, and was also a member of UW Wellfit Cancer Program. Mary Jane loved to garden and when she had the time, she enjoyed travelling.

Relatives and friends are invited to Schreiter-Sandrock Funeral Home & Chapel (51 Benton St. at Church St., Kitchener, 519-742-4481) on Monday (today) from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. with prayers to be recited at 8:45 p.m. Funeral mass to follow on Tuesday, July 20, 2010 at 10 a.m. at St. Anne’s R.C. Church (East Ave, Kitchener). Interment to follow at Woodland Cemetery.

The family would like to extend their gratitude to Mary Jane’s special family of friends in the nursing community for all their care, love and support. They would also like to thank the staff in wing 5A at K-W Health Centre of Grand River Hospital for their attentiveness, compassion, and the exceptional quality of care.
