  We've seen a lot of happiness,and shared our worries too.
  We've believed in dreams and made up plans about all that we could do.
  Though each day we're not together, we're really not apart.
  You're never far from thought and always near in heart.

  These words were attached to a gift for me from Mary , who was so fond of calling me her "big little sister"      
    Right back at you sis !!

Knowing not to question, for there are no answers, I am left only with an unbearable sense of loss.
I have found genuine comfort in reading all the wonderful things that have been written here. You have truly captured the "essence" of "our" Mary.
   As long as there are golf carts in heaven, I can smile through the tears.

 My nieces , Jane and Jodie, have weathered this most difficult time with  grace, dignity, and a level of maturity  far beyond their years.
   Add this to the list of all the other things, your Mother was so rightfully proud of you for.

  I am here for you both and "Miss Hayley" as always.

Mary, I'm so thankful for everything you have done for me during my stay in Canada and I'm so glad I got to know you! You always managed to cheer me up and make me laugh when I was down during our trip to Nova Scotia and PEI. My thoughts go out to your family, I wish you all the strength in the world. I worked with Mary at WalMart she was full of life, Always made people laugh. She will now be in heaven with Ossie whom she missed so much. Rest in Peace Mary.

Mary's Florida home  was  next  to ours in Brooksville, Fl. She was a ray of sunshine each day in our  lives. We will dearly  miss the funny exchanges we had often through out the day. We will always  have  a picture in our minds of  her  racing  off in her  golf cart to the next exercise class, card game, bingo and her  beloved  Karaoke. Mary was a great neighbor  and  friend excepting  everyone and  ready  to defend their right  to be who they are.Mary was a  proud mother that  passed on her love  for life and concern for others to her children. Through Mary we were blessed with the friendship of her  two  daughters  Jane  & Jodie. Mary we will always have an  empty  spot in  our  hearts but  will  cherish the  short time we had with you as friends.

Hey all,  I love "Mary's fiery zest for life"  description.  You've captured the personality of a life well lived.  Her zest for life really shone through in her love for family.  As an Island cousin  I appreciate that she made such an effort to get back East so often and went out of her way many times to visit all her Island friends & relatives.  Even though her Great Aunt Rita could hardly see or hear, ( and possibly would not be aware of the visit) Mary never failed to check in on her.  What a testament to a very kind heart and soul. May she rest in peace and may God Bless you all as you go through this most difficult & sudden loss.
