Rose Kalyn

Passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 12, 2014. Rose lived to the amazing age of 104 years in her own home with her loving Daughter-in-law, Pat, who treasured her. Rose was born in Western Ukraine in 1909. She was predeceased by her husband, John, her son, Syl, and her grandson William (Bill). This beautiful woman will be greatly missed by her Grandchildren Chris (David) Cunningham, and Sandy (Mark) Felker. Beloved Boonya to Nick, Luke, Josh, Kyle, Dylan, Samantha, and Olivia. Rose also leaves behind Family in Western Ukraine and Western Canada. She was a faithful member of the Ukrainian Catholic Church of the Transfiguration and the Ukrainian Seniors Zustrich Club. Visitation will take place at Schreiter-Sandrock Funeral Home (51 Benton at Church St. Kitchener) on Monday, April 14 from 6-9 p.m. Panakhyda at 7:30 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held Tuesday, April 15 at The Ukrainian Catholic Church of the Transfiguration (131 Victoria St. S Kitchener) at 11 a.m. with Father Myroslaw Tataryn officiating. Interment to follow at Woodland Cemetery.
