Dear Mom, I love you today as much as I did when you were still here on earth with me. I can't believe that two years ago today you met God. A perfect ending to a perfect life. Today is a bright sunny day and it also is Father's Day. Sheila and I are planning to meet up at St. Agatha and have a little moment there with you and then we are off to see Dad. Last year this time we almost lost the both of you but God decided he only needed one extra angel that day and you were chosen. I know Mom that you must look beautiful with those angel wings. It was one year ago tonight Mom that I spent the night with you at Lissard House. I remember lying next to you, holding your hand and whispering into your ear to tell you that I was spending the night with you, and like old times "it was just you and me kid"! Even though you could no longer speak, I know you heard me, because there was recognition in your eyes that told me so. That was the beginning of your last night with me. Mom, I feel so privileged to have been given the gift of spending your last night on earth with you. You are always with me and I know that because my heart if still full of love. Thank you mom for showing me how to love. You were an awesome teacher. XO forever Amen.

Well its only days till the 1st anniversary of God calling you home. Its been a hard year of firsts with you out you Gram.  I think one of the hardest was my birthday.  You where always the first to call and I the phone did not ring this year.  Lena turned 8 and just had her First Communion at the beginning of the month. She misses you too.  Sometimes at night she cries for me to bring you back again. Today is also hard.  I was emailed the memorial legacy guest book. And it feels like I'm loosing you all over again.  However it has also reminded me of the full and meaningful life you lead. How much you impacted the lives of all who knew you.  You are one of God's most effective angels.  I love you and miss you.  May you have finally found the Golden Years of peace and joy with Our Father.

Hello Mom, I came to visit with you on Monday, my 60th birthday, I miss you so much!  I remember last year, when you realized it was my birthday, you had us call Pat to bring in a six pack because we had to celebrate.  You were so cute! You planted a memory in my heart that day, that will be remembered I"m sure every birthday of mine for the rest of my life.  I missed you at my parties, but I know you were watching and laughing and there with all of us in spirit. In a couple days it will be one year that you have been absent in physcial form, where we can no longer hug or kiss you, we will be coming to put some beautiful flowers on your site and have some precious time together with you in spirit. Lighting a candle in memory of you Grams. I miss you very much!

I have to tell you Grama that for the first time since you have passed, I had a feeling of peace and a little happiness. As the 11th birthday of your great grandkids Mitchell and Makayla passed on Aug 10, I was happy that they didn't have to celebrate by themselves. For the first time they had someone with them to kiss and hug them on that special day and I couldn't have asked for anyone more special and deserving to do that honor that you.  I love you and I still miss you, but I am glad that my kids finally have the chance to spend time with you.

Dear Brenda;
Grief is one of lifes hardest journeys too. I understand the missing of normal...especially when mom's are often the rock of the family, the centre wheel who knows "everything". That was one of the things we found when my mom died is that it took more effort and responcibility on our part to call each other to see how we're doing. Mom's can share everything...so it's always hard to lose that part. 
You've shared a great faith with your mom, so hold on to it and let it be your pillar of strength as move forward, day by day. It was a privledge to care for your mom and your family.

July 16, 2010 at 1PM. Today was Mom's internment at the St. Agatha Cemetery. Father Ed. Sheridan and Mr. John Feidy of the Ratz Bechel Funeral Home attended. The sun shone brightly while the family gathered to place Mom into her final resting place here on earth. Dad placed her urn into the ground while Pat, John, Sheila and myself assisted and placed roses over the top. Also present were: Jim, Darlene, George, Tammy, Kelly, Chad, Hayley, John Jr., Luke and Erica, Becky, Aunt Loretta and Uncle Ken, Rita and Ali, Kathy, Jen attended the luncheon following the internment. 
Dad welcomed everyone to the Angies' Restaurant for a luncheon meal. 
This was a wonderful sharing of family memories and times. Thanks to everyone who attended and helped the family on this day.

My sincere condolences to all of Theresa's family.

"Mother Theresa" was such a warm, caring, genuine person. 

She had her point of view but accepted everyone for who they were and in turn listened to and respected your opinions. 

You knew that there would be lots of laughter and banter if a card game was invloved. I'll always remember the fun we had playing euchre and UNO.

I am grateful to have been blessed with knowing her. 

Theresa, you will be missed.

Dear Brenda and Logel Family:

Born, breathe, crawl, run, love, nurture, watch, rest, die.  Those are the movements of our lives.

But we all know that your mother was more than that.

I will never forget your mother.  I loved to laugh and have fun with her. She would make me laugh until the tears would stream down my cheeks. She was so kind, warmhearted and a joy to be around. We girls were thrilled to have her join us at our monthly dinner parties.  Your mother was like having a close "girlfriend".  She was someone you could share your secrets with.  

She will always be missed and never forgotten.  

So dear Brenda and Logel family please consider yourselves blessed to have had your wonderful mother in your lives.  I can see her smile and zest for life in each an every one of you.  She was so proud of all of you. She has left an indubitable mark in your lives.

Mom, Two things I've always been able to count on ...God's never ending presence and your love.  From the moment He plaved me in your arms, until now, He knew that you would be my wonderful mom. today is the first day of a lifetime to come, of not being able to see your face.  I have had 5 days of not hearing your voice and my heart is heavy with the though of how long it will be untill I am graced with both seeing you again and hearing your voice.  I love you more today than I have words to express.. I have found some comfort in a poem I found, so I will share it here for everyone who is beside me in the pain of losing you:

Grandma, I will miss you and will love you for all time. I thank you for the Precious times we had together. Playing darts at the trailer will stay special in my heart forever. Your right leg kick just as you let go of the dart to give it that extra ummpph as you put it. But most of sitting down and just shooting the breeze while enjoying a nice cold beer. So sorry to hear about your moms passing.  You have been there for her
throughout her battle and I know will miss her very much.  Those words are
so true.  As long as someone is in our thoughts, they have a legacy.

May God bless the entire Logel family during this very difficult time. We are away and could not come to convey our personal condolances. My father, Albert Schubert, has always shared his special memories of your family with us and holds dearly the memories of working for the Logels in the glorious Fifties. He will always be grateful for his early beginnings with Clarence and Theresa and his lifelong friendship. We lost our mother last year so we feel this pain with you and always will. We always enjoy seeing the old photos with my father and you are all part of those. May your memories always be strong and full of love.

Good morning Mom. Today is my last day to be able to kiss your face & lips and hold your hand. I will miss being able to do that everyday from this day forward. However, you have given me strength that I haven't yet had to use, but have in reserve for when I will need it. Thank you for that gift. Forever, I will love you.

Grandma. In regards to Theresa Logel, that single words sums up her importance to so many. If she took a shine to you, life was good. Gram could love, scold, comfort, tease, enlighten, discipline; all in the looks she gave. Her words were golden. Gram’s humour filled us with joy. She taught those close to her the feeling of family, whether over a lifetime or mere years. I see Gram in all she loved, in all she called friend and in all she called family. I will miss Grandma’s presence and cherish her impact on my life.
