Aaron Mikel Christopher age 18 of South Knoxville, Tennessee tragically passed away on July 28, 2020 near the Smokey Mountains that he loved as a result of a car accident. Aaron was an athlete who excelled in baseball and was passionate about the environment and history. He could identify any reptile you showed him and was an avid artifact collector. He loved God and his family more than anything else and was excited to talk about the Lord. We are all comforted by the fact that he developed a strong bond with his Lord and Savior, and was saved and baptized. Aaron was greeted at the gates of Eternity by his grandpa Larry Mikels and his grandparents Wade and Donna Christopher.

He leaves behind to cherish his memories his loving parents Andy and Darlene Christopher; beloved brother and best friend Andrew Christopher; grandmother, Doris Mikels; uncles and aunts Tim and Tammy Christopher, Mark and Lori Christopher, Mike and Brenda Christopher, Larissa and Fabian Vargas, Stacey and Stephen Broyhill, Julie and Derrick Brockwell, and special close friends Marvin and Haley, his dog and cat Bella and Grayson and many sweet cousins.

Aaron’s family will receive friends at Berry Highland South Funeral Home, 9010 E. Simpson Rd, Knoxville TN 37920 on Sunday August 2, 2020 from 5:00PM to 7:00PM with a funeral service to follow at 7:00PM. My brother..hard to think he’s gone. I’ll miss the deep deep conversations with him. Ima miss the days when he’d call me jus to check on me. Ima miss all the stupid things me,Marvin and him would do together. If it wasn’t for him I wouldn’t have the courage i have today,he always let me know when I was doin wrong and he always let me know my dreams could come true. As Andy Christopher said he ain’t gone he is in every one of us. And he IS our family, NOT WAS, but IS my brother. Thank you brother Aaron..for everything my friend..Ima miss you more than anything. As your dad Andy told us when we came over this isn’t goodbye,it’s a see ya later. I love ya man,see ya later my brother.

I remember Aaron from Bonny Kate School and I am heartbroken for your loss. There no words that can express the loss of a child. It is so comforting to know he was a Christian and that you will see him again in the future. You will be in my thoughts and prayers.

My name is Jake king, I graduated with Aaron. Me and him were in the same classes in elementary school and we were good friends then, he made funny jokes and helped me through my classes. When I heard about the incident I was shocked because I had just seen him at graduation. Everyday I saw him with friends and we always said hey to one another and how was your day. I’m glad he’s in a safe place and will always be in my mind.

So sorry for your loss, as we didn't know Aaron very well, we would spend time at Uncle Wade/Great Uncle Wade house and this was a precious life taken way too soon. We will be praying for you all, and we send much Love. Marquette Heights, Illinois

Oh Aaron, all I can see in my mind is your beautiful face. I'm pretending that you are really at home safe and sound and that if I go there I will see you again. But I know that isn't the truth. I know that you are in a better place, but your being gone has left us all so broken and sad. We will never be the same family without you and we will never be whole again.
But you are going to bring us all closer together now. I promise. We will hug one another a little tighter and linger together a little longer from now on before we say goodbye. I'm so grateful that the last time I saw you I got to tell you that I love you and how proud of you I was. We all are so proud of the young man you grew up to be.
Love always baby,
Aunt Stacey

Darlene,
Words cannot begin to express the deep heartbreak I know you and your family must be feeling in the sudden loss of Aaron. May the God of comfort and care wrap His loving arms around you. I remember Aaron and his sweet smile at Bonny Kate Elementary. He was always such a kind, caring student and friend to others. I pray precious memories give you comfort on the tough days. Please know my thoughts and prayers are with you, Andy and Andrew as you face the future without Aaron. Heaven gained a sweet young man. ❤ Lean on your family for support and may the Lord give you a peace that passes all understanding.
